2014-01-31_2310This is actually pretty cool…

Matt Smith (Eleventh Doctor), Karen Gillan (“Amy Pond”) and Arthur Darvill (“Rory Williams”) will appear at Doctor Who fan events in Australia in March.

Of all the previous Doctor Who fan events, I’m hard pressed to recall any Australian appearances by a Doctor from the rebooted series -let alone 3 recent principals in the one event.

Nothing has captured the imaginations of Australian fans young and old over such a long time as the beloved series Doctor Who. A part of our lives for the last 50 years, many of us have grown up following the exploits of the Doctor and his faithful Companions.

Now, for the first time in Australia, you can encounter a modern-age Doctor in the flesh, as Whoniverse brings you a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the eleventh Doctor and his favourite Companions, live on stage in a unique theatre-style event.

Whoniverse presents Matt “The Doctor” Smith, Karen “Amy Pond” Gillan and Arthur “Rory Williams” Darvill in the most incredible reunion anywhere in space and time, and answering the questions you always wished you could ask!

Ticket prices start from $100 and rise up to $950 for packages.

Sat 1 Mar – Qantas Credit Union Arena (formerly: Sydney Entertainment Centre), NSW
Mon 3 Mar – Riverside Theatre, Perth
Sat 8 Mar – Adelaide Convention & Exhibition Centre, SA
Sun 9 Mar – Melbourne Park Function Centre, VIC

  1. This turned out to be a major fizzer, unfortunately! 🙁 One of my friends booked the $950 package and was beside herself with excitement, but then Matt Smith pulled out three days before the event (family reasons). They cancelled everything and gave full refunds, but still, a lot of people were left very disappointed. Karen Gillan had pulled out of half of the dates a few weeks prior to that, so Arthur Darvill was the only one to remain committed to all four dates.

  2. I’ve got my ticket booked. I will say though they are ridiculously overpriced… I got the Silver Package which is $650 which gets you entry to the Q&A (reasonably close to stage) panel session, as well as individual photos and autographs with the 3 cast members. For only $300 more you can get the Gold Package which gets you the closest to the stage and you get an additional photo with all 3 together.
