Returning: Legit

Australian comedian Jim Jefferies returns for a second season of Legit.

2014-02-04_0018Australian comedian Jim Jefferies returns for a second season of Legit, loosely based on Jefferies’ career as a stand-up comic in Los Angeles but struggling every step of the way.

Joining Jim in his quest for legitimacy is neurotic best friend and roommate Steve Nugent (Dan Bakkedahl – VEEP), a cyberlaw library salesman battling to stay on his feet following a messy divorce, and Steve’s brother Billy (DJ Qualls – Road Trip), who has to use a wheelchair because of his advanced-stage muscular dystrophy.

Legit S2 picks up with Jim pondering why he’s never had a relationship longer than six months, whether he’s a sex addict, and how to deal with an extended visit from his parents and his roommates’ dad.

The show continues to look at male friendships by using ridiculous storylines partnered with Jefferies’ honest and dark humour. This season the three central characters go on to battle their demons dealing with them in their own unique ways.

The series is co-created by Jefferies and Peter O’Fallon.
