Update: Sochi Winter Olympics / TEN News

Update: Changes to News, The Project, The Bold & The Beautiful as a Men's Snowboard Cross competition is rescheduled.

2014-02-17_2326TEN has advised of an amendment to today’s afternoon programming due to a rescheduled event after bad weather forced the Men’s Snowboard Cross competition to be cancelled in Sochi.

It will now air Live from 5.30pm (AEDT) today on TEN, meaning TEN Eyewitness News will be 30 minutes.

Rosa Khutor Extreme Park was blanketed in a thick white fog all morning. None of the 39 competitors, including three Australians, were even able to warm-up, with the official training postponed as well.

The format will be reduced and the two seeding runs will not be included. The competition will now begin with the 1/8 Final at 5.30pm (AEDT) with athletes seeded according to their FIS points.

Don’t you know the News isn’t important. They wouldn’t want to have a stable News service at all. Although maybe that forced them to be more efficient. I guess we’ll see if it pays off short term and long.

  2. Ah, poor TEN. Had to feel for them last night. They had cleared the schedules banking on some Chumpy action, and were left with nothing. About 1.5 hours of curling on ONE while they were waiting for news of the delay haha
