  1. @Shoudy Chen – “That is going to be an exclusive story on what happened to the MH370.”
You are joking of course. This was a rehash of old news, with most time spent interviewing a Sydney Morning Herald chick in Sydney. They didn’t even get the number of 9/11 planes correct. “On 9/11 3 planes were hijacked…”. No. 4 were hijacked.
A load of rubbish. Old material cobbled together and called a “special”. What was “special” about it?
@laurie – Ah yes, those conspiracy theories.

  2. At least in Brisbane, a Daniel Morcombe special aired on 7 at 9:30pm. 7two had a scraper image for Bones at 8:30pm during The Amazing Race. No idea if it actually screened then or not.

  3. I was curious about how it was listed in the EPG. It said it would start at 8.30pm or 20.30 and Bones would start at 20.33. So I hope it didn’t mess up people recording Bones. Also potentially this as well. I’d admit if I had a recorder, which I don’t, this as well as channel stuff ups with the time would be why I would program the time in myself. I used to do it last century as well as decade. I never did trust G-Code and other nonsense.

As for the story they haven’t found the wreckage. Plus especially the black boxes or Flight Data Recorders. The French Airbus that crashed into the Atlantic took almost 2 years to recover them. Although they saw wreckage within 5 days. So potentially it might not be very quick and easy to get the answer. So it is just chatter. Probably completely wrong.

  4. My mum also heard it from Sunrise that this program will be aired at 10.30 p.m. But a friend of hers told her she watched it at 8.30 p.m. I hope there will be a repeat on the Internet or on TV as I am very disappointed to have missed it. Good thing it is not a “must see” show. Why can’t the correct time be announced in the first place?

  5. Those satellite images could have shown the serial number of the part if the Chinese wanted to!! what we are seeing is secrets being keep closer to their chests those military radars have a story to tell

  6. A 1 hour special on what?

As of writing this there is still no confirmation the plane has been found the latest satellite images have now been discounted and they are no closer to finding it since it vanished.

  7. There is plenty they can cover, even if there isn’t an answer.

There is a lot of other interesting stuff about modern aircraft technology, security of international travel and illegal migration to cover. And also how the newscycle covered it and why they got so much wrong.

Personally i’ll record Bones, finish watching Monday night’s TV and start on this week’s episodes of Psych.

  8. Lets not be to harsh on Network Sevens intentions regarding this late night Special Presentation, because it is quite possible in this time slot it is no more than an educational production assignment for some unpaid interns.

Aimed primarily at production experience of how to re-hash/contribute nothing more to already well reported confusion concerning a highly emotive catastrophe, along with possible examples of viewer/advertiser gullibility.

To also give these interns the experience of pre judgmental comments such as mine, as a possible litmus test of a broader indicator of a Networks reputation deserved or denigrated by the viewing audience, but always continue with the same agenda, and only change that agenda when all else has failed.

  9. I pump for ‘abducted by aliens’-that would be as sensible a possibility as any other speculation at this point for this tasteless and pointless programme.
