ANZAC Day 2014 coverage

Here is a wrap up of ANZAC Day coverage including Dawn services, marches, Gallipoli and France.

ANZdI have previously filed on ANZAC Day, but here is a wrap up of coverage that has been supplied to me for ABC and Seven.

The ABC’s coverage will centre on services in Gallipoli, France and Canberra but also includes local coverage from all states and territories. The ABC’s schedule has been prepared with the cooperation of the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Australian War Memorial, the Australian Defence Force Academy, the Museum of Victoria, the University of NSW, the independent production sector and international broadcasters, such as BBC, TVNZ and Turkish Radio and Television Corporation.

“We invite all Australians to join us in reflecting upon the sacrifices made by our servicemen and women, those who served in the past and those who continue to serve,” ABC Managing Director Mark Scott said.

“This is a special day for the nation and the ABC is honoured to play a role helping Australians to explore and reflect upon this rich history and the efforts of our defence personnel.”

ABC also launches a comprehensive website ahead of the 100th anniversary at abc.net.au/anzacday
