  1. @dalmanic – yes, I don’t think Orange is a comedy at all! There are a few light moments but it is predominantly pretty serious. The same goes for Shameless, not a comedy but at least it got a couple of nominations, it’s one of the most underrated shows.
As much as I love Game of Thrones I do think that Breaking Bad deserved the win, absolutely brilliant show. It was it’s last chance to win as well – GOT will be in the running for a few years yet!
Totally agree with the DL issue, yes some shows are available on free to air but so often are very behind the USA airings or are just not available here at all. Oh for Hulu and Netflix – am sure that would cut down a lot of piracy instead of the threatened government intervention.

  2. They didn’t rate House of Cards much. Not even a nomination.

Orange Is The New Black is a comedy drama. The Chickening was hilarious. I guess it was nominated where it could win. Same as Fargo being a mini-series.

As David pointed out more nominated shows are on FTA in Australia than in US.

  3. I loved Orange Is The New Black (S1), but wouldn’t classify it as a comedy! Veep takes that one IMO.
Breaking Bad over Game Of Thrones – I beg your pardon, you’re kidding!
But what a list for best drama – all of them are terrific.
There are so many wonderful shows around, but it’s very sad for free to air viewers unless they like (pretend) reality shows. I wonder why Australians are such great downloaders……
