NRL Footy Show: telethon

Sonia Kruger will guest host the NRL Footy Show for the “Big Change for Little Champions” Telethon.

Sonia BBSonia Kruger will guest host the NRL Footy Show tomorrow night as part of its second annual “Big Change for Little Champions” Telethon.

In partnership with Nissan, the Logie Award-winning show will call on footy fans to raise funds for The Starlight Children’s Foundation which helps sick kids and their families all around the country. The telethon is one of the biggest campaigns in the show’s history – having raised nearly half a million dollars for the charity last year.

During The Footy Show last week, Fatty, Slats, Erin, Beau, Wally and Sam Thaiday caught up with some of the kids at both Sydney’s Westmead Children’s Hospital and Brisbane’s Mater Children’s Hospital who will directly benefit from the money raised. Since then the gang are more determined than ever to raise as much money as possible on Thursday night.

Joining the team on the panel as a special guest host will be Big Brother and Mornings host Sonia Kruger, while her Mornings partner in crime, David Campbell, himself a Starlight Ambassador, will be hosting live from the Telstra phone room. Joining David will be some of Channel Nine’s famous faces, including Big Brother Housemates from 2013, this year’s contestants on The Voice, and some of the biggest names in rugby league.

As part of the night’s entertainment, Footy Show fans will be treated to the World Premiere of Beau Ryan’s single and video clip – Where You From?

A night filled with finals footy, music and smiling faces – what’s not to love?

September 18 from 9:40pm on Nine.
