Short memories in TV land?
Ronan Keating reckons it's "only taken me 5 years" to win the X Factor. Has he forgotten about Alityan Childs already?

Some folk sure seem to have short memories when it comes to referencing their TV history.
Last night after Marlisa won The X Factor, Ronan Keating mumbled, “It’s only taken me 5 years.”
Has he forgotten he was also mentor to Altiyan Childs in 2010?
Or do we just not mention the A word anymore?
Meanwhile tonight Big Brother is pumping an “Australian first” in which “one Housemate will be offered a huge cash incentive to self-evict.”
Back in 2007 four “Wild Card” housemates were put into the White Room with a big Red Button where they would remain until they pushed the button to evict themselves, with the last remaining survivor entering the house itself.
After days of nobody pushing the button eventually $750 was offered and Cruz evicted himself.

The show is just not relevant!
The “winners” rarely have a future in the business…
It’s time to go … X Factor!
The Big Brother twist has been twice before – it was also done in 2003, where the first Jamie took $10 000 to leave the house.
Yes, this was strange. Did Ronan really forget that year? He seemed to be best buds with Altiyan at the time.
Chivasssimo have to disagree… With his Motown connections and his producing skills – his team was the one to beat. I’m so disappointed in the voting –
Roman is opening in the West End in Once the Musical in November so that might restrict his involvement in the audition process next year.
@Squareyes…Great memory! I completely forgot that he had hosted the show when it was on ten.
@cazz81
Dan McPherson is a good host and, of course, has experience as The X Factor host, when it first aired on TEN.
Everyone else had forgotten about Altiyan – no surprise Ronan had too.
Redfoo was a one year novelty. We got our version of Redfoo earlier this year with Will.I.am
I think Ronan is a great judge, and hope he comes back next year, everyone can find faults with different people, we wouldn’t be human if everyone agreed all the time, look at Mel B, half the people thought she was good the other half though she was terrible, but unless you are in the music business and know what you are looking for in an artist which I think Ronan has that ability, then the general public each have their own idea of what is good to them.
I like Luke as host, he should stay. Certainly a better pick than Matthew Newton was.
Altiyan is bad news, whatever happened to that so called booked he threatened to release on ‘exposing’ everything in the music industry?
I wouldn’t mind a panel refresh on the judges side – it worked well for AGT for a few years when they brought on Brian and Kyle anyway
I thought the Big Brother self-evict thing actually smelt like something that had been done before on BB with the White Room in 2007. Also with the ‘Twist’ last year it was a rehash of 2003 Big Brother with the 2 houses.
I recall him being more certain last year but he still came back.
However I’d agree with a complete panel/host change.
I hope you’re right David about the overhaul. I’d love to see a new host. Luke Jacobz is so bland as a host. He doesn’t ever seem to stray from the script even for a second. Dan McPherson does a much better job on DWTS and actually manages to display a bit of personality.
Are you hearing whispers Luke Jacobz is looking to move on David because I couldn’t see Seven replacing him otherwise. He’s done a great job by the way.
Ronan as much as said he won’t be back.
Ronan said the same thing a year ago, which is why I didn’t bother to report it. Could be a negotiation tactic.
Altiyan Childs is not X-factor’s finest product it must be said.
I was thinking this last night. For a second, I thought, ‘Oh maybe Ronan wasn’t Altiyan’s mentor?’ but then I distinctly remembered Ronan looking for Altiyan when he disappeared into a cave hahaha.
I think Ronan and Redfoo should quit Xfactor. The girls gel well together but the guys are getting a bit boring.
I suspect a major overhaul for panel / host.
Best forgotten. lol
hahaha yes good old Altiyan – he was a classic! But I’m sure somebody Ronan would rather forget, which it seems he has done quite well. 🙂
