A Current Affair scoops One Direction interview, performance.

“I’ve gone full 1D immersion for this," admits Tracy Grimshaw. "I have the album playing on a loop in my car, I’ve seen the movie, I’ve read the book."

2014-11-26_1017On Thursday night One Direction will “take over” A Current Affair for a special that will surely send fans into a frenzy.

The boys will sit down with Tracy Grimshaw for an exclusive interview and perform two songs, Steal My Girl and Night Changes, before a live studio audience.

ACA has similarly a conducted studio special with the likes of Lady Gaga.

Harry, Zayn, Liam, Niall and Louis talk about their new album, FOUR, as well as their upcoming Australian tour and DVD release.

“This is going to be a great show. We are so pleased to be welcoming One Direction to the Current Affair studio,” Grimshaw said.

“I’ve gone full 1D immersion for this interview. I have the album playing on a loop in my car, I’ve seen the movie, I’ve read the book.

“I keep telling myself that for the fans in the studio it would be like me meeting The Monkees when I was 15. I totally get the hysteria.”

The band also performs at the ARIA Awards tonight.

Thursday, November 27, at 7.00pm on Nine.

  1. Ugh embarrassing. Ten have been just as blatant with their 1D promotion as well showing that obnoxious member saying ‘see you soon m8!!!’in a fake Australian accent for the ARIA commercial
