Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon will star in Big Little Lies, based on a best-selling novel by Australian author Liane Moriarty.
The ‘limited run’ drama, to be written by David E Kelley, is yet to secure a US broadcaster.
The project is described as a subversive comedy which tells the tale of three kindergarten mums whose apparently perfect lives unravel to the point of murder during a disastrous fundraiser.
Kidman and Witherspoon will both executive produce alongside Kelley.
Moriarty, who previously penned best-sellers What Alice Forgot, Three Wishes, The Hypnotist’s Love Story and The Husband’s Secret, will serve as a producer.
