They are a mix of headlines, politics, human interest and entertainment -including one ABC show that features prominently throughout.

Some of the results are inspiring, and the last few will tug at the heartstrings.

  1. Oh come on, the family asked Blanchett to speak. Was she supposed to refuse? It was a public memorial, not a private funeral service. THis family didn’t want a roll call of of politicians speaking, they wanted people representing things Gough (and Margaret) were passionate about , which included theatre and the arts. She’s a high profile representative of the arts community who ran the biggest theatre company in the country. Give her a break.

  2. That Cate Blanchett speech annoys me every time I hear about it. As if we care that some actor got education. Shouldn’t a family member have spoken instead.
