As recently indicated by Beverley McGarvey in TEN’s Programming Wrap for 2015, The Graham Norton Show is moving nights.
It will now air at 8:30pm Fridays from February 20th picking up with Season 16 Episode 9.
This is part of a plan to give the show more traction and a more consistent playout, due to sometimes being pre-empted by both sport and BBC pre-emptions.
Following The Living Room and maybe picking up some ABC Friday night audience the new slot makes sense (although it will have to battle with Dr. Blake initially).
Graham Norton welcomes the stars of Paddington to this week’s show – Oscar-winning superstar Nicole Kidman, comic actress Julie Walters and Hugh Bonneville.
UK band Take That Join them on the couch for a chat and later perform their new single.
In his unique fashion, Graham Norton’s trademark humour and witty banter leads to some interesting revelations from his guests. Hear about Nicole Kidman’s fear of singing, Hugh Bonneville reveals the secrets behind the filming of Downton Abbey, Julie Walters tells of a case of mistaken identity with Julie Andrews and Take That talk about band life without Jason Orange.

Better than 10:30pm on Sundays.
Clarification: That’s 20 minutes early plus advert time.
For the record, the telecast commenced twenty minutes early. Count them, twenty. Seriously, TEN couldn’t get a drink in a pub.
@ Dr Rudi, Yep, Ten will be showing the previously unaired episodes 6 and 12 from season at 11 pm on Friday Feb 6th and Friday Feb 13th before resuming episodes from the current season,15.

Which certainly explains why my guide is showing a (“new”) episode on 6 February at 11:00pm (S15, Ep 6). Signs of things to come no doubt.
They can hardly blame BBC for pre-empting the show, its always TEN stuffing it around for motor sport rather than leaving it all on ONE.
Considering these episodes are now old, and airing out of order, I will continue to use BBC iPlayer.
I will still watch ETTC on 7TWO…will watch this on Tenplay…
hmm, wonder if this is test to see how a variety show would rate on a friday night.

If they don’t know what to do with it or can’t find an audience for it they should give it back to ABC
Lordy. Look TEN, you could screen GN at 3:00am on Tuesdays, for all I care. Just show it at the same time; screen the episodes (all of them) in order; and fast track them like you promised.
Grrrr.
