My Kitchen Rules contestant Adam Anderson applied for an apprehended violence order against his ex-wife, who went public with claims over lack of child support payments.

But the application was later withdrawn by Anderson (pictured, right) and dismissed by a magistrate in Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court.

News Corp reports court documents from the application made in July last year and details a string of exchanges between the couple over monies owed.

Last week Anderson’s former wife Cindy claimed $36,000 in support of 5 children had accrued over the past 12-13 months and told A Current Affair Anderson had coached MKR judge Pete Evans and had worked on the door at Evans’ Sydney restaurant, Hugo’s.

A Seven spokesperson said: “All claims that MKR co-host Pete Evans knew contestant Adam Anderson prior to this series of MKR are total rubbish There is not a skerrick of evidence to support these claims.”

Seven did not respond to queries from TV Tonight.

Updated: Fairfax Media claims Anderson is also bankrupt and could have his winnings from the show seized by authorities.

It is not clear if Seven knew of Anderson’s bankruptcy or alleged child support debts before casting him.
