“Stay positive everyone,” he said via Instagram. “I feel optimistic that he is alive and stuck.”
He has hired a helicopter and satellite telephone and will search the area around Everest base camp with a small crew, including a doctor.
He has also offered to assist other Australians in the area to make contact with loved ones back home.
At least 3,326 people are now known to have died with more than 6,500 people injured.
Updated: Brother Will Sheridan has contacted the ABC via text to confirm Zachary had been found. “Thanks for all your concern. Zac has just made contact. He is safe in Lobuche,” he wrote. Four other South Australians who were listed as missing were all accounted for yesterday after contacting their families.

And it’s good news. The brother has messaged his family. 🙂
Hope his brother is found safe and sound.
The Nepal Earthquake is such a terrible tragedy and I hope anyone who is in such a position can donate any money to such a worthy cause.
I wish Hugh Sheridan the very best and hope his brother and the countless others who have been unaccounted for are found alive. I have a tremendous respect for Hugh and his humanitarian efforts.
Heard on Facebook that his brother is found safe from the Nepal Earthquake.
Yeah lots of missing people’s families are going there to look for them.
Yes, but obviously David has reported on Hugh Sheridan going there because this is a TV blog, and Hugh is a TV personality.
