One for nostalgic Neighbours fans today with former cast member Andrew Bibby a.k.a. “Lance” working as a paramedic in Sydney.

Bibby, 34, played Lance in the ‘House of Trouser’ with Ryan Moloney and Daniel MacPherson from 1995 to 2000. His last starring role was in 2010 in Underbelly: The Golden Mile.

The Sunday Telegraph reports he works is based at Paddington Ambulance Station.

Sometimes he is recognised by soap fans whilst working on the job, such as assisting a woman in an emergency birth.

“We handed her the baby and she looked at him and said ‘wow’” he said.

“Then looked up at us, and it was the first time that she had seen our faces. She looked at me and said ‘oh my god it’s you, Lance!’ It was quite a shock for her.”

It must be catching. In 2011 former Neighbours star James Sorensen told TV Tonight he was studying nursing, hoping to get into paramedicine.
