Monday’s Q & A will be interesting not so much for the guests, but for how it reacts to suggestions it leans too much politically.

Tweets at the ready! Here’s what’s in store:

Assistant Treasurer Josh Frydenberg is one of the Abbott government’s most effective communicators, so what does he think of claims by leading economics commentator Judith Sloan that the government is finding economic reform “a bridge too far”? Or policy analyst Miriam Lyons argument that Australia needs more government?

· Shadow Minister for Infrastructure, Anthony Albanese
· Legendary actor and elder, Jack Charles
· Author of Governomics: Can We Afford Small Government?, Miriam Lyons
· Businesswoman, Judith Sloan
· Assistant Treasurer, Josh Frydenberg

Q & A airs Live on ABC, iview at 9:35pm Monday.

  1. Love this government, any facts contradicting their spin is “left wing” , science is “left wing”, education is “left wing” and now ABC is “left wing”. So now calling someone left wing means “we cannot support our spin with facts so we will just cal you names”

The conservatives do not understand what they cannot buy and are very scared of it.

If the ABC seems left wing to you that is simply a reflection of your politics. The middle is to the left of the right and right of the left.

So any perceived bias is a reflection of your politics, not the ABC’s. Remember the ABC has to pass impartiality tests unlike those complaining about it.

Finally if we think the ABC has political bias, what are we doing about Fox, Rupert and paid right wing commentators that clearly exhibit a strong right wing bias. This government is so used to the soft glove handling by its media…

  2. The Q and A logo should be updated and changed to the hammer and sickle as it would blend in perfectly with the predominantly red studio lighting (as per the photo)
