Australia’s Miranda Otto is one of four new actors being added to the next season of Homeland -the first American series to shoot entirely in Germany.

Otto will play Allison Carr, the current Berlin Chief of Station, working directly under Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin).

Also cast are Sebastian Koch, Alexander Fehling and Sarah Sokolovic.

Filming begins in Berlin this week with Claire Danes, Rupert Friend, F. Murray Abraham and Mandy Patinkin.

Season five pick ups two years after Carrie Mathison’s ill-fated tenure as Islamabad station chief. Struggling to reconcile her guilt and disillusionment with years of working on the front lines in the “war on terror,” Carrie finds herself in a self-imposed exile in Berlin, estranged from the CIA and working for a private security firm.

Otto, who will also appear in Westworld, has previously appeared in Rake (US), Mabo, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Cashmere Mafia and The Starter Wife.
