Renewed: Transparent

Acclaimed US series Transparent has been approved for a third series, just as its second begins production.

Creator Jill Soloway has signed an overall deal with Amazon Studios to exclusively develop television projects for Amazon Prime created by her or other writers.

“Jill is truly a creative force and I’m thrilled that we will be collaborating with her additional projects in the future and on a third season of Transparent,” said Amazon Studios VP Roy Price.

“I am so thrilled that I get to share more of the Pfeffermans’ story with the world. We are all so in love with watching them change and grow. I am blown away by the creative freedom Amazon gives me and I can’t wait to reveal where this journey is going to take us,” said Solloway.

Transparent, starring Jeffrey Tambor as transgender senior Maura, recently won two Golden Globes and screens in Australian on Stan.
