ABC has picked up more dramas from the BBC, as its 12 month window after BBC First premieres expires.
Next month it will air the telemovie Burton and Taylor, featuring Dominic West and Helena Bonham-Carter. It airs on September 26th.
It also has Free to Air rights to three-part miniseries The Safe House, featuring Christopher Eccleston, although probably not until 2016 given it only just aired on Pay TV.
ABC recently premiered The Honourable Woman, featuring Maggie Gyllenhaal as well as UKTV’s Top of the Lake.
Meanwhile SBS has the Free to Air premiere of the excellent drama The Missing, starring James Nesbitt, later this year.
