16 year old schoolgirl Ellie Drennan has become the youngest ever winner of The Voice.

The Team Jessie singer defeated singer-guitarist Joe Moore, from Team Madden, for the 2015 title.

Nathan Hawes placed second while Liam Maihi was in fourth place.

Drennan, from the Central Coast, lands a recording contract with Universal Music, $100,000 in prizemoney and a new car.

The Live finale capped off a successful fourth season for Nine, dominating the ratings for most of its run.

“I honestly can’t believe I just won! This has been the most amazing experience. Thank you to all my friends and family and of course Jessie J for supporting me through this and always seeing the best in me,” said Drennan.

“Thanks to everyone who voted for me and making this happen. What a ride!”

Last night Ellie performed Nothing Compares to You by Sinead O’Connor, Halo with her coach Jessie J. and her new single Ghost. A 10 track album will be released on September 11.

Nine has confirmed a fifth season will air in 2016.

    1. 15yo Marlisa. She’s doing the right thing and finishing school so it’s a bit rough to lay blame. Other past winners have been on lots of shows after winning (Samantha Jade, Reece Maston, Dami) and all past winners have been played on radio with either top 1 or top 5 results for iTunes or Aria. This can not be said for The Voice winners. Channel Nine has had a pathetic record for churning out then forgetting about talent from The Voice.

  1. And she will go on to have the same glittering career that all previous The Voice winners have had….. Hang on who are they again???
Loved how Jessie J said that they will be friends forever….. What’s the bet as soon as the cameras stopped rolling last night Jessie dumped her like a sack of shit and is already flying home!!!
Remember when Delta and that blind girl were like sisters during season one??? Say no more…..

Rachael herself has said they no longer talk….. #CaseRested

  2. I must say David, that after all the claims this week of the ‘biggest show of the year’, I felt underwhelmed at the production… no special guests, a much ‘cheaper’ budget with the wardrobe department, and another winner who shouldn’t have won… Joe Moore was easily the stand out. I have loved Delta this year. I felt Masterchef Australia’s GF was exhilarating and intense whereas this Voice GF was lacklustre!

      1. Yes, Joe should have won for sure.
He has by far the best voice and agree with the Maddens that out of all the finalists, he is the most suitable and best prepared to deal with his newfound “fame”, ( hopefully longer than 5 minutes), and all the pressure that goes with it.
Definitely deserves a recording contract and with careful choice of song should hopefully pick up radio airplay. Young and nice looking too so very marketable as a performer as well.

Yes, he looked very disappointed and looked to discreetly be wiping away a tear or two at one point but understandable.

Ellie deserved to be there too but as runner up – she has a lovely voice but is very young and probably needs a couple more years to “experience life” so she is able to sing with more emotion and conviction.
Her rendition of Sinead O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares to You” sounded nice but was quite…

    1. I agree Nicholas – after watching every episode of the Voice this year, it seemed a really lacklustre finale. Even last year we had the great theatrics of Will I Am cloning himself for his performance! The main issue with the show is most of the good singers get eliminated in the battle rounds.

  3. Interesting fact: Joe Moore made the grand final of AGT back in 2012. Will probably see him audition on TXF in a couple of years when people have forgotten him again.
