The season finale of Mr. Robot has been delayed in the US due to a “graphic scene similar in nature to today’s tragic events in Virginia.”
Mr. Robot centres around a vigilante hacker played by Rami Malek.
USA Network said in a statement, “Out of respect to the victims, their families and colleagues, and our viewers, we are postponing tonight’s episode.
“Our thoughts go out to all those affected during this difficult time.”
WDBJ reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward were reportedly shot on air by Vester Lee Flanagan II, known on air at WDBJ as Bryce Williams, a previous employee at the station.
He later died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities said.
Mr. Robot finale will now air in the US on September 2nd.
The series is available in Australia on Foxtel / Seven streaming service Presto with all but the finale currently available.

Thing I find amazing is they hold a show for a week or so and then what everything is okay?
I’m sure I read somewhere once when something happened an ep was postponed but it had already been released online, legally. So it was out of the bag for online viewers, those watching on TV had to wait.
Don’t recall hearing that.
An episode of Buffy was also delayed as it involved gun violence at school at the time the Columbine shootings occurred in 1999-anything to do with gun violence in the US is bound to find a parallel with TV or film scenarios because there’s so much of both.
More recently last season the Robin Hood ep of Doctor Who was edited before it aired after IS beheaded someone.
It’s happened a few times. Sleepy Hollow also held off promos I think after IS.
Horrible event.
I just want to say though, Mr Robot is the best show on TV right now.
Terrible thing…the young woman was just standing there…interviewing another woman….
So creepy as to how many times TV has preempted an actual event…
