Emmy Awards 2015: guide

Andy Samberg hosts the 2015 Emmys, airing Live on Monday morning in Australia.

2015-09-04_1244

The 67th Emmy Awards take place at 10am Monday morning Australian time, seen Live in Australia on FOX8.

Australia’s Ben Mendelsohn is up for a Supporting Actor award for Bloodline, but faces tough competition from Jonathan Banks in Better Call Saul and Peter Dinklage in Game Of Thrones.

This year’s awards include some rule changes, including that Comedies must now be 30 minutes duration (hence Orange if the New Black moves to Drama) unless they appeal to enter the Comedy category. Miniseries becomes Limited Series and “Guest Actors” must appear in less than 50% of a program’s episode.

I’ll tip Game of Thrones, Transparent and Olive Kitteridge to take out the Drama, Comedy and Limited Series awards this year. And probably Bessie for the Telemovie gong.

TV Tonight will be Live blogging the results on Monday.

Venue: Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles.
Host: Andy Samberg

Presenters:
Jaimie Alexander, Anthony Anderson, James Corden, Jamie Lee Curtis, Will Forte, Lady Gaga, Ricky Gervais, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard, Jimmy Kimmel, LL Cool J, Rob Lowe, Amy Poehler, Gina Rodriguez, Tracee Ellis Ross, Liev Schreiber, Amy Schumer.
