Just two Australian titles have been nominated for the International Kids Emmy Awards: Nowhere Boys and Get Ace!

TEN’s Get Ace!, produced by Galaxy Pop, is nominated in the Animation category. It will compete against entries from Colombia, Japan and France.

ABC’s Nowhere Boys, produced by Matchbox Pictures, is nominated in the Series category. It has to fend off competition from Italy, Brazil and Netherlands. This is the second nomination for Nowhere Boys.

The International Academy also announced that the awards ceremony is moving from New York to Cannes, and will be presented at MIPTV. The first awards ceremony will take place on April 5, 2016.

“MIPTV is a terrific venue for showcasing and recognising the remarkable amount of quality kids programming around the world, and Reed MIDEM is a great partner” said Bruce L. Paisner, President & CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. “We look forward to welcoming our Nominees to this new home and to continuing to serve the global children’s television industry.”
