David Schwimmer headed for UK comedy series

Ex-Friends star David Schwimmer is to join the cast of UK sitcom, Morning Has Broken, a 6 part comedy for Channel 4, starring Julia Davis.

Davis take on the role of Gail Sinclair, the ‘Queen of Daytime,’ and star of ‘Good Morning… with Gail Sinclair.’ Schwimmer will play an American producer brought in to try and save the floundering show and Davis’s co-writer Nick Mohammed will play one of Gail’s fellow breakfast anchors.

His former fellow cast mate Matt LeBlanc has found success with UK-US comedy Episodes, with Schwimmer making a cameo appearance.

Julia Davis said she is “looking forward to experimenting with friends whose work I love.”

David Schwimmer added, “I’ve been a massive fan of Julia’s for years, and I’m thrilled to be able to finally work with her and Nick on this fantastic comedy.”
