ITV Studios will become the production partner for Talpa formats in Australia, following ITV’s acquisition earlier this year.

But productions such as The Voice are covered by separate production agreements and do not form part of the new partnership.

Talpa’s biggest format launch at Mipcom in Cannes is Dance, Dance, Dance which uses “revolutionary technology” as celebrities mimic the original setting of a famous dance routine. Naturally, the show has already aired in the Netherlands.

Dance Dance Dance takes celebrity dancing to a whole new level. The dancers reenact the most famous dance performances with revolutionary technology to mimic the original setting and even a synchronized backstage broadcast in the Dance Dance Dance app. The celebs form a duo with someone they’re close to, offering explosive reality during the intense training process. The best in the business offer mind blowing performances, raising the bar for celebrity dance competitions all over the world.

It differs from another dance format in development at FOX which highlights the lives of real-life couples who, each week, will participate in intensive training, rehearsals and live performances until one couple is crowned the winner.

ITV Studios Australia recently appointed David Mott as its new CEO, who begins in November.
