Are you ready for South Korea’s zany Running Man series?

The reality-variety show sees Korean stars complete Amazing Race-style missions and SBS will screen a
three-part Australian special, on a hunt for hidden treasure that spans the whole country.

Running Man is Korea’s smash hit variety show led by national MC Yoo Jae-suk that began in 2010, featuring missions all over Seoul (and sometimes faraway towns and other countries) in which cast members and celebrity guests play games for prizes. Prepare for zany quests, hilarious antics, and insane betrayals as Korea’s favorite stars battle it out, testing their strength, endurance and cunning as they fight their way to the finish line. The games almost always feature running, hence the title, and the rules are simple: protect your name tag at all times, and trust no one.

Episode One
Our cast heads down under to find the four elements and track down a hidden treasure chest on a massive hunt across Australia. This first day is chock-full of adventure from start to finish, so get ready to dive into the ocean’s depths, make some unlikely friends, and explore everything this continent has to offer.

Sunday, 27 December at 5.45pm on SBS 2.

  1. I asked one of my Korean friends about this when they started promoting it- she says it’s a must watch. Having gotten used to watching vs. Arashi at that time slot, this will be a good replacement.
