The Closer spin-off series Major Crimes, was officially renewed by TNT for a fourth season last week, after being revealed online by producers and cast in late November.

The series, which centres on a special unit of Los Angeles Police Department detectives, has been picked up for 10 more episodes.

Featuring Mary McDonnell as Captain Sharon Raydor, the show is reaching an average of 10 million US viewers per episode across multiple platforms.

Major Crimes airs in Australia on GEM which has most recently been airing Season 3.
