In a terribly sad true life drama, a police investigation into a missing ex-Eastenders actress has turned into a murder investigation.

UK detectives are now hunting for the boyfriend of Sian Blake after three bodies were found by police searching for the soap star and her two children.

Blake, 43, who played homewrecking singer Frankie Pierre in 56 episodes in 1996 and 1997, vanished with her sons Zachary, eight, and four-year-old Amon in east London more than three weeks ago.

Three bodies were finally discovered by search teams on Tuesday in the garden of the home they shared with Arthur Simpson-Kent, who has vanished since reporting them missing.

The actress, said to be suffering motor neurone disease, was last seen in East London on December 13.

Detective Superintendent Paul Monk, from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: “Sadly, as part of a thorough forensic search we are carrying out at the family’s home in Erith, we recovered three bodies from the garden of the property.

“As yet, we have not formally identified the bodies but this is of course a significant development and Sian’s family have been informed.

“This continues to be a fast moving investigation and our thoughts are with Sian’s family at this time.”
