Seven’s coverage of the Davis Cup begins on Friday March 4.

Todd Woodbridge will host with commentary from former Davis Cup star John Fitzgerald.

Livewire Nick Kyrgios, fresh from his first ATP title, and top-ranked Aussie Bernard Tomic will lead the charge for the Australian Davis Cup team against traditional rivals USA at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club starting Friday, March 4.

The two most successful nations in Davis Cup history will meet at Australia’s spiritual home of tennis with a portable grass court installed on Kooyong’s famous centre court.

Recently retired Australian tennis champion and new Davis Cup captain Lleyton Hewitt has named a squad that includes Kyrgios, Tomic, Sam Groth and John Peers.

It is expected USA captain Jim Courier will name world no. 11 John Isner and world no. 23 Jack Sock, along with the Bryan brothers, Bob and Mike, who have an outstanding doubles record.

The winner of the tie will face either Belgium or Croatia in July’s World Group quarter finals. If Australia were to beat the USA, it would either host Croatia or travel away to Belgium.
