Castle returns to Seven at 10pm Monday, March 7th with its midseason return, S8E9.

“Tone Death”
When a body is found in the theatre of Martha’s latest show, Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett’s (Stana Katic) investigation leads them into the unexpectedly dangerous world of competitive acapella. High School Musical’s Corbin Bleu guest stars.

This episode premiered in the US earlier this month.

Also making their mid-season returns next month are Quantico at 11pm Tuesday March 8th, which is quite late for such a new series, and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. at 11pm Wednesday March 9th.

Both shows will be fast tracked after their US premieres.

  1. what’s with all the comments that those shows should go to 7flix? just cause the channel is new doesn’t mean they should go there. 7flix still has to air somewhere Grey’s, Scandal and HTGAWM. 7flix claims they are airing movies from 8:30, so that leaves 7:30 timeslots. or 10:30/11:00pm after the movie, and there would be no point since that’s where they’re putting them on the main channel anyway. they need to go to 7mate or even 7two. 72 has 8:30 shows that can be bumped up an hour surely, it should be used for lower rated shows like it used to be when the channel launched. Seven just needs good programmers to know where to put them instead of bumping them up all the time.

  2. Interesting that Agent Carter will be on 7Flix but AOS will continue on 7 itself. Guess it makes sense to leave some of these shows in post 10pm timeslots as this is what sometimes gets 7 over the line for the nightly win

  3. Nice to see that they’ve actually fast tracking both AoS and Quantico. But 11pm? Really? (Well, ok, that doesn’t surprise me for AoS). They’d seriously be better off putting them both on 7Flix in a decent timeslot.

    1. Who cares what times they are on, at least they are on! Buy a PVR and watch them at a time when it suits you.

Nothing is better off on a channel that only some parts of the country can get.

I only got to watch season 4 of Hereos last year on Netflix as it aired when Prime couldn’t be bothered to transmit the channel that 7 put it on.

    2. No they wouldn’t. It leaves them showing stuff like Britain’s Spending Habits, Benefits Street and Botched up Bodies on their main channel late at night while shows that they have established a fan base for get low ratings at lower adv rates on a secondary channel. This way the get some insomniacs (especially young people) watching and consolidated figures for the main channel in prime-time from those who record them. Not worth much in ad rates but count in the battle for No1 overall.

  4. Seven are in a position where they can afford to do this. Enough people are watching whatever is on at 9 and 10pm and they know that fans of these shows who haven’t already seen them will PVR them to watch within the next night or two. They can still sell these numbers to advertisers.

    1. Quanitco rating’s sunk like a stone. Was getting 334k by the end of the first block of eps.
Blindspot was down to 593k that week enough to get another go in prime-time later (though it was down to 468k the Sunday before Christmas while everybody was out drinking and shopping).

They both quickly ended up doing worse than The Blacklist which has now got 9:30 – 11:30pm Sunday (Castle’s old spot).

  5. Gee, I thought Quantico was doing alright (as well as US dramas do now). Maybe Seven should have put it in primetime over on 7flix?

No return date for Blindspot yet, which arguably did better than all these shows.

  6. At least those following the shows can record them for later viewing.
Dunno if we’re enticed to return to Quantico – think the thread wasn’t that strong.
And the MSF was kinda like ‘here we go again’.
