CBS has confirmed cross-over episodes between The Flash and Supergirl.

The Flash‘s Grant Gustin will visit National City for a Supergirl episode airing in the US in late March.

Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, producers of both shows, announced: “We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl.

“We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros and DC for working this out.

“And finally, thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.”

Cross-over universes prove popular with fans with The Flash already a spin-off from Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow a spin-off from both.

  1. It wouldn’t have taken too much effort. Berlanti & WB produce both shows. CBS and the WB jointly own and make the content for The CW. CBS will be happy to try and interest the women watching Supergirl in The Flash. And DC isn’t going to be unhappy about something that with grow their TV Justice League universe.
