Two men killed in an ultralight plane crash in Victoria’s north were filming for the Vietnamese version of The Amazing Race.
Melbourne pilot Ian Cook and his passenger, Quoc Huong Vu, a Sydney-based cameraman (pictured) for the reality TV show, had no chance of surviving when the XT-912 Arrow trike ploughed nose first into a field, narrowly missing a tree.
The pair were coming into land at the Yarrawonga airfield when they struck trouble shortly after 3.30pm on Sunday, News Corp reports.
Strong dust whirlwinds were reported near the airstrip, with an alert made over the aviation radio, moments before.
No mayday call was made.
