The third season of British police drama Line of Duty begins on 13th Street next month.

This has just aired in the UK this week.

Daniel Mays (Ashes to Ashes) joins as Sergeant Danny Waldron, the highly proficient leader of an Armed Response Unit whose unpredictable behaviour is becoming a threat to colleagues and suspects. When AC-12 is called in to investigate Danny’s conduct, even they could find themselves in the firing line. Mays joins returning cast Martin Compston as Detective Sergeant Steve Arnott, Vicky McClure as Detective Constable Kate Fleming and Adrian Dunbar as Superintendent Ted Hastings.

8:30pm Wednesday April 6th on 13th Street.

  1. Excellent news thanks David!
I am curious though how do they determine which channel BBC programmes are shown on, one would think even BBC worldwide would push for BBC programmes to be shown ad free!
I was watching Luther on BBC First, it was a repeat and noticed they were showing the edited version?
Was wondering if you could shed some light on this. thanks.

    1. They will sell shows to anyone who wants to buy them, as they always have. They sold Ripper Street to Ten, Parade’s End to Nine, Mrs Brown’s Boys and The Indian Doctor to Seven, Orphan Black to SBS and Doctor Who and Poldark to the ABC.

They need enough keep enough stuff as long as there’s enough stuff left over to keep BBC First going (though are increasing they are burning stuff of in marathons e.g. The Detectorists & Death In Paradise S5), and they have plenty of quiz shows, soaps and murder mysteries for UK TV.
