Nine is investigating a knockout blow inflicted on one of its guests at its Logies after-party.

Bo Phillips, brother of Postcards presenter Lauren Phillips, was allegedly punched by actor Malcolm Kennard, according to media reports.

Kennard (pictured) had been nominated for Most Outstanding Actor earlier in the night for his role as Ivan Milat in Catching Milat.

An ambulance arrived to attend the Club 23 venue following the incident, but Phillips attended hospital with friends.

The Herald Sun reports the punch allegedly happened on the club’s balcony about 3.30am, close to Gary Sweet and Dr Chris Brown.

Nine spokeswoman Michelle Stamper said: “We are disgusted that someone who was uninvited would attend our private party and behave in such a repulsive manner. Nine is investigating the matter.”

Police said they were yet to receive a report of any incident and no investigation had been launched.

On Facebook Phillips said he was unsure what prompted the incident with Kennard.

“Fortunately I am fine,” he posted.

“A disappointing conclusion to an otherwise terrific night.”
