It’s been lovely to see dedications on screen for the late Reg Grundy this week.

Neighbours, Family Feud and Wentworth have all acknowledged his passing with title cards on ELEVEN and SoHo.

All three are FremantleMedia productions, which acquired the Grundy Organisation from Pearson Television.

On Monday A Current Affair also devoted its full programme to a recent interview between Tracy Grimshaw and the veteran media mogul.

  1. Reg was certainly at the heart of quality tv back in the day. Mainly game shows and Soapies that i can relate to. He will be missed by the ones who care about quality tv.

  2. Agreed David, classy stuff to run that tribute ‘end card’ at the end of the FremantleMedia (and so former Grundy Organisation) productions which you rightly highlighted in your piece.
By any definition, Reg Grundy ranks as one of the most influential and successful Australian producers of popular television. Also notable that he achieved real impact across a number of different genres and in many international markets. A true pioneer.
