Supporters of Adam Whittington, currently behind bars in Beirut, will stage protests at Nine studios in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide this weekend.
Friends and relatives, including his parents, will rally for two days according to an AAP report.
Nine paid Whittington $70,000 for the failed “child recovery” operation but remains in prison after the network secured a deal for the release of four 60 Minutes crew and mother Sally Faulkner.
But family members have pleaded with Nine to assist in securing the release of Whittington, staging earlier protests.
The 60 Minutes crew and Ms. Faulkner are expected to learn this week if they face prosecution and potential extradition to Lebanon.
