Airdate: The Jim Gaffigan Show

On Tuesday the Comedy channel premieres US sitcom The Jim Gaffigan Show.

Made for TV Land network, it is written and executive produced by comedian Jim Gaffigan and his wife Jeannie Gaffigan.

Gaffigan plays a fictionalised version of himself as a stand-up comedian raising five children in a New York apartment.

The series premiered in the US last July with a second season beginning last month.

In the pilot episode we meet Jim, his family and his friends as he struggles to find a balance between fatherhood, comedy and food.

8.30pm Tuesday on Comedy.
