It’s the lawsuit that is close to running as long as the series itself…..

Former Desperate Housewives actress Nicollette Sheridan has been granted a new trial date for her claims against ABC / Touchstone.

She will be back in an LA court on June 5, 2017 to pursue her claim of retaliation against producers.

It has been more than five years since her last trial ended in a mistrial.

First filed in 2010, Sheridan claims that the show’s creator and executive producer Marc Cherry struck her on set in 2008 and, when she complained about the matter, it resulted in her being let go from the series.

In 2012 Cherry and ex-ABC executives testified that discussions for Sheridan’s character to exit preceded the incident.

Sheridan’s former co-stars Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman, Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross are on the defence witness list, but this doesn’t guarantee they will actually appear.
