Report: Nicole Kidman in Top of the Lake 2

Details of the second season of Top of the Lake, which has been filming in recent weeks in Sydney, have remained sketchy.

But according to Danish actor David Dencik, Nicole Kidman is set to appear.

“I’m working right now on Top of the Lake in Sydney with Jane Campion,” he told Digital Spy.
“Nicole Kidman is in this season. We’ve already started filming. It’s four years later and Elisabeth Moss’s Robin Griffin has moved back home to Sydney, and it’s a new case. It’s in urban Sydney.

“She gets deeper into Sydney – Sydney is a key aspect too, just as the nature of New Zealand was significant in Top of the Lake 1. This in a way is less beautiful, because it’s the metropolis it’s urban.”
