WIN TV has appointed Chris Wordsworth to the role of Queensland State News Director.
He has previously been Queensland State Director for the ABC.
WIN’s Queensland General Manager Andy Vautier said, “Chris brings to the WIN Network a wealth of experience which includes working for the ABC, Seven and Nine Networks in positions such as Overseas Correspondent, News and Current Affairs reporter, and Bureau Chief.
“Of particular relevance, Chris held the role of Queensland State Director for the ABC, overseeing a local executive team which included News, Television Production, Online, Radio, Technical Operations, Finance and Facilities at a time when the ABC was the largest multi-media organisation in the state.
“Chris’ appointment further enhances the WIN Network’s commitment to regional news throughout Australia. His level of experience will be an advantage to our six Queensland news bulletins and the teams that deliver them each weeknight.
“We look forward to working with Chris as the media industry continues to evolve.”
“WIN is Australia’s largest regional network and has consistently remained committed to producing strong news bulletins in its markets,” Chris Wordsworth said.
“We will continue to bring the stories that matter to our audiences and ensure their voices are heard on the issues they care about. I look forward to joining the team in Queensland later this month.”
He begins on June 20, 2016.

Probably WIN Eyewitness News LOL.
Wonder what this guy has in store for WIN News (the 6 QLD editions) come July 1, under Ten
The WIN News won’t be “under TEN”. It’s totally independent. It will be at 6pm. Meanwhile, Nine Brisbane is scrambling to appoint news people in regional Qld, besides the Gold Coast, now that they no longer have access to WIN News, as mentioned in http://tvtonight.com.au/2016/05/seven-news-set-for-gold-coast-bulletin.html
