The lead network changed hands twice in just over 30 minutes last night with Seven News, A Current Affair and MasterChef Australia all winning their timeslots.

But Nine went from first to fourth with 20 to One before Love Child was forced to rebuild. The timeslot win went to TEN with Have You Been Paying Attention? TEN titles also topped the demos.

ABC had a good night including Australian Story second in its slot.

But Seven’s movie helped them average better and longer, across the night.

    1. Seriously, it’s day #3 into the second half of the year. I mentioned I had not forgotten the Hot Seat claims about midyear ratings and yesterday made enquiries. I can’t give you any “promise” about when those may or may not be responded to. It sounds like I might be better to keep story ideas under my hat if they are going to be misconstrued or demanded.

  1. Loving The Kettering Incident – an intriguing slowburner.
The brooding Tassie landscape is spectacular and really adds to the ominous atmosphere.
Striking similarities to Top of the Lake but I don’t mind as I loved that too.

Last nights episode of Lovechild was also really good – very poignant.

    1. Agreed Angela. Really enjoying Kettering so far. I think I can see where it’s heading, but there’s easily enough going on to make me stick around to find out if I’m correct. I’m actually liking it more than TotLake at present.

    1. Matt Damon was recently in the country promoting his new bourne movie. There would also be viewers out there wanting to watch the previous bourne movies as a refresher if they plan to go to the cinemas at the end of the month to watch the new bourne movie when its released. So I don’t think you can place this movie rerun in the same category as others due to the current environment the movie is re airing in.

  2. MasterChef & HYBPA dominating Mondays.

Ch 9 would be disappointed with Love Child, losing its time slot & only just hanging onto 700k (even doing ordinary in the show’s production state – NSW).

Offspring continues to be the #1 Australian drama & smashing the key demos. Coming weeks will be interesting, hopefully it can pull great numbers.
Otherwise we’ll have no Australian drama doing well (excluding Home and Away).

    1. Actually Love Child did pretty well to pick up after its low lead-in. That’s been it’s biggest problem this season. As article yesterday showed, Home & Away is currently #1 drama in Overnights followed by Offspring. Rake, Kettering & Wentworth have all done well so far. You have to take platform and timeslot etc into context and thereafter Timeshifted numbers.

      1. And those timeshifted numbers from the 4th were quite pronounced in favouring Love Child over HYBPA… To the point that if they are repeated this week, the latter show will go from “dominating” to “losing”.
