Fans hoping Bea Smith will return for Wentworth are in for bad news.
Last night the top dog, played by Danielle Cormack met her demise.
This morning actress Katrina Milosevic, who plays Sue “Boomer” Jenkins, told Kyle and Jackie O her death was “such a loss.”
Asked if Bea was really dead, she replied:
“Well, she did cop about 15 stabs to the stomach.
“It’s pretty hard to survive that.
“Behind the scenes and the fact that Danielle has left, I’m still getting my head around it. Of course, it’s a loss and I know the audience must be feeling it too.
“It’s massive.
“The thing is, from the point of the show, things have to change,
“We have to keep growing and we have to keep smashing open the story and Dan is an extremely, extremely smart talented girl. She’s always been all about the story. So while it’s hard, she understands.”
Filming begins on Season 5 next week.
Milosevic indicated scripts for the next season would deliver.
“Oh my god, Unbelievable. Seriously I was…. holy….”

Whilst she was the star of the show, every character is so well drawn they are all stars. I’m looking forward to the next season, it’s not showing any signs of getting stale.
Incidentally Boomer’s biggest gift this year : Bringing the word ‘spoof’ back.
I’ve expressed my feelings in the other post about Wentworth but my stars, what writing on this show! I actually think Bea dying can only be a good thing for this show especially if Ally does return to Wentworth. There are so many tantalising character developments ripe for exploring in season 5 that Bea’s death impact on so much that happens here forth. A bold and utterly brilliant move by the writers. Bravo everyone. Bravo!
I screamed with everyone of those stabs…… Omg
