Foxtel highlights post Olympics titles

All-important dates for Walking Dead, Emmys, Recruit finale and a Star Wars Pop-Up Movie Channel.

With the Olympics over, Foxtel has highlighted upcoming Spring titles, that began with Fear the Walking Dead and Vice Principals yesterday.

Here are some upcoming profile airdates:

On Wednesdays from August 24 at 7.30pm, jump right back into your favourite Australian living rooms with the TV show about watching TV, when Gogglebox returns for Season 4 on The LifeStyle Channel. The BBC’s movie special adaption of A Midsummer Night’s Dream – a modern retelling of Shakespeare’s classic with a star-studded cast – premieres on Sunday August 28 at 8.30pm on BBC First. The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards will broadcast Live from Madison Square Garden in New York City with performances confirmed from Rihanna, Britney Spears and Nick Jonas, on Monday August 29 from 10am only on MTV.

Foxtel celebrates Australian programming in September with the launch of local productions A Place to Call Home Season 4 Sundays from September 11 at 8.30pm on showcase; Aussie Gold Hunters Thursdays from September 15 at 7.30pm on Discovery; the next instalment of Australia’s Next Top Model Season 10 introduces new judge Megan Gale alongside host Jennifer Hawkins and judge Alex Perry premieres Tuesdays from September 20 at 7.30pm on FOX8; The Recruit Live Finale to decide the winner will premiere Wednesday September 21 at 8.30pm only on FOX8; Charlie’s Chelsea Garden 2016 one hour special premieres Tuesday September 27 at 8.30pm on The LifeStyle Channel; I Own Australia’s Best Home premieres Wednesdays from September 28 at 8.30pm on LifeStyle HOME; and Nickelodeon’s SLIMEFEST 2016 will air on Friday September 30 at 6.00pm.

Comedy Central’s Roast of Rob Lowe will premiere Tuesday September 6 at 8.30pm on The Comedy Channel Express from the US; Style Squad premieres Mondays from September 12 at 8.30pm on STYLE; the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards hosted by Jimmy Kimmel will air Live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday September 19 from 10am on FOX8; 60 Days In Season 2 premieres Wednesdays from September 28 at 9.30pm on CI Network; the Star Wars Pop-Up Movie Channel will broadcast on Channel 400 from September 30 to October 3.

In October LifeStyle launches the return of its baking hit Great Australian Bake Off Season 2 hosted by Matt Moran and Maggie Beer on LifeStyle FOOD, and talented decorator Shaynna Blaze hosts her brand new series, Deadline Design on LifeStyle HOME.

HBO premieres two new series, sci-fi drama Westworld starring Anthony Hopkins Mondays from October 3 at 8.30pm on showcase, and Sarah Jessica Parker’s new comedy drama Divorce from HBO will also premiere in October on showcase. The long awaited return of cult-hit The Walking Dead Season 7 will reveal who from the group has been executed by Negan from October 24 Express from the US only on FX. Also in October, the DC Comics programming returns with all new series of Supergirl Season 2, The Flash Season 3, Arrow Season 5, and DC Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 all Express from the US and on FOX8.
