The first event of Seven’s Rio Olympics actually takes place tomorrow morning, Australian time, when Australia’s Matildas face off against Canada in Women’s football.
This will screen Live at 4am AEST Thursday on 7mate.
It’s not the first time events have begun before the Opening Ceremony, which is 9am AEST on Saturday.
