  1. How will programming on other channels be effected? (Specificily asking for Survivor but there are probabily other people who want to know likewise for their show of interest)

  2. “Holden Cup Grand Final
    Penrith Panthers vs Sydney Roosters
    Sydney 1.00pm Live on Nine
    Brisbane 12.30pm Live on Nine”

Is one of these is incorrect, as there is a one hour difference between the two states.

  3. Meanwhile in the M.I.A., the NRL have gone back in time being broadcast solely in SD :@ . We have one year of it being simulcast on 9Gem and then as soon as HD simulcasts of primary channels come along they decide that regional viewers without the HD simulcast (in the M.I.A. the commercial HD simulcast was first of Nine but is now of TEN) are fine with watching the Grand Final in SD. Granted my mum will be happy Rizzoli & Isles is still on, but given the viewer share for 9Gem I can’t say there are too many other individuals who would prefer the current 9Gem line-up compared to the Grand Final.

  4. With the end of two high profile sports events, does that mean we will have more level playing field for the networks. I was thinking Thursdays (which usually favors Nine due to Seven’s staggered schedule), Fridays and Saturdays (usually favors Seven due to AFL). All this may help Ten albeit just a little bit. Just my analysis.

    1. hope so . I wish pay tv was also aloud to show the GF cause ther is no way i will watch ch9 crap . Also 7.15pm kick off dont think so ch9 wont allow this game to start till at least 7.25-730pm , least the AFL GF will start on time

  5. At least this release from 9 acknowledges the right name – 9Gem. On their cricket release it was still listed as GEM (which TV Tonight also still lists it as, along with Go!)
