In its typical “ripped from the headlines” style, Law & Order: SVU is set to do an episode inspired by Donald Trump’s recent scandal
Gary Cole (Veep) will play a politician whose campaign goes haywire when several women go public with damaging accusations. “Unstoppable” is set to air in the US on October 26 — less than two weeks before the presidential election .
Meanwhile Entertainment Tonight host Nancy O’Dell addressed Donald Trump’s lewd comments about her.
“I feel it’s very important that I address you all directly,” she said on ET. “As a journalist for 26 years now, it is my job to bring you news about others, rather than turning the focus on myself. But by now, I’m sure that most of you have heard the audio tape which became national news and part of the presidential race. My name was mentioned and, unfortunately, the release of it has thrown me into the middle of the political arena of which I didn’t ask to be a part.”
“I released a statement on Saturday and I truly mean what I said,” she continued. “There is no room for objectification of women, or anybody for that matter, not even in the ‘locker room.’”
Elsewhere, Billy Bush is reportedly negotiating his exit from NBC’s Today show.
The NY Times reports Bush and NBC are working out the terms of his departure which may come in the next few days, according to two people briefed on the plans.
It would be a swift fall for Bush after a brief tenure as a host in the 9am hour of the show.
Law & Order: SVU returns to TEN with new episodes on October 20.

Seems warranted. I think it was Last Week Tonight that put together a compilation showing that Bush’s creepy behaviour was far from a one-off
Nobody has provided an answer to this so I hope somebody here knows. Is Billy Bush related to retired presidents George H and George W?
Wiki: Billy Bush’s uncle (his father’s older brother) is George H. W. Bush, the 41st President of the United States. George W. Bush, the 43rd President, and former Florida governor Jeb Bush are Billy Bush’s cousins.
You could even say he comes from the lesser known branch of the Bush Family.
The typical L’n O scenario takes something that actually happened as a start point but then goes off in an entirely different direction (like all the bad things were being done by the Trumpish character’s evil twin brother who was separated at birth etc etc).
This episode sounds good. cant wait
