Magazine spoils Bachelorette final two

Magazine ruins the fun for Reality fans. No spoilers here!

New Idea magazine has spoiled the fun for Bachelorette fans (and presumably drawn the ire of Channel TEN) by revealing photos of the two final men selected by Georgia Love.

It published photos of her with two contenders in Singapore ahead of the show’s finale, due next week.

“The 28-year-old television journalist was pictured filming her last dates with the boys in Singapore in August,” the mag said.

“…the reality show’s outcome has been a terribly kept secret – just like The Bachelor.”

A TEN spokeswoman told the Daily Telegraph, “Tabloid magazines have printed many misleading and speculative stories about The Bachelorette Australia, but viewers will be the first to see how Georgia’s love story really unfolds.”

Last year Daily Mail spoiled The Bachelor finale with paparazzo photos through a hotel window (leading to a court injunction), while the most recent season also attracted photographers snapping in Bali.

Warning: If you really want to be spoiled you can see New Idea’s own work here.

  1. I’m no fan of this show myself but even I think this is poor form. Can’t channel 10 sue the magazine for this? I’ve heard of scripted dramas suing when there was leak of a major plot twist, surely revealing who wins a reality show should be seen as the same thing.

  2. Was at doctors leafing through new idea when I saw the article, by the time I realized what I was looking at, it was to late. Thanks New Idea for ruining the show for me and many other readers. And they have the nerve to blame the show, when the editors of New Idea choose to publish! Well I suppose their not really journalists, just tabloid writers. So in future I’ll stay away from tacky mags….lessen learnt!

  3. I might be a cynic but it seems to me they only go out of there way to spoil TEN shows. You don’t see them spoiling MAFS or Farmer wants a wide or Seven YEar switch
