No outcome yet on Catalyst review, suspended presenter.

ABC is yet to reveal the outcome of its Catalyst review and yet to clarify the position of suspended presenter Dr. Maryanne Demasi.

Dr. Demasi (pictured second from right) was stood down by ABC management in July until September, following a breach of ABC editorial policies.

“Catalyst is a really important show to the ABC,” ABC Director of TV Richard Finlayson told TV Tonight.

“We’re always looking at shows and how we can do them better. We’ve had an internal process and we’re working through that at the moment.”

But he declined to comment on whether Dr. Demasi remained suspended.

“She’s not at work at the moment. I don’t think she has any stories left for this year,” he said.

“She’s still part of Catalyst.”
