SVU returns next week for its 18th season, now under a new showrunner.

Law and Order: SVU returns next week for its 18th season, now under new showrunner Rick Eid.

New episodes will resume on Thursdays, replacing Gogglebox.

This premiered in the US in late September.

In the season premiere of Law & Order SVU, A young boy is found wandering alone in Central Park and the search for his parent’s leads to startling evidence of a planned mass casualty event in the city.

As the SVU works with the joint terrorism task force to find the suspects and the motive, Lt. Benson must also convince Barba to address allegations of rape and torture the boy’s mother discloses.

Guest starring: Peter Gallagher (Chief Dodds), Robert John Burke (Capt. Tucker), Elizabeth Marvel (Rita Calhoun).

8:30pm Thursday on TEN.

    SVU returning but still none of the NCIS’s? That really surprises me. Usually we have to wait until Feb for SVU. Can’t complain about this since watch SVU but disappointed that we’re still waiting on NCIS when they usually air at least one of shows in that franchise. Guess Ten liked holding it off & want to do it again 🙁
