Network TEN has now confirmed Rob Mills is joining the cast of Neighbours.

The former Australian Idol graduate will appear in a guest role as Finn Kelly, a progressive and respected school teacher appointed by Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne).

Despite Finn’s charismatic and affable façade, it soon becomes apparent that there is more to him than meets the eye as the residents of Ramsay Street catch glimpses of his mysterious past.

TEN Executive Producer, Claire Tonkin, said: “When Finn Kelly arrives in Erinsborough he brings an unexpected agenda, juicy secrets and oodles of charm. We are very lucky to welcome Rob Mills back to Network TEN to bring this fascinating character to life.”

Neighbours Executive Producer, Jason Herbison, said: “Rob is an exceptional talent and we are thrilled to welcome him to Ramsay Street as Finn Kelly, a really intriguing character with some hidden secrets which our audience won’t expect.”

Rob Mills added: “I could not be more excited to be returning to Network TEN, where it all began for me 13 years ago on Australian Idol, and now to be acting on one of the world’s most famous shows, Neighbours. I can’t wait to get started. As a Melbourne boy, I played baseball just behind Ramsay Street all those years ago and never would have thought I would be on Neighbours!”

Mills hosted TEN’s rebooted Young Talent Time series and has an impressive music theatre career including Wicked, Grease, Legally Blonde, Into the Woods, Hair and Ghost the Musical. Other TV credits include Peter Allen: Not The Boy Next Door, Winners & Losers, Underbelly: Razor, The Celebrity Apprentice Australia, and Dancing With The Stars.

He will appear on screen in March 2017.
